I get so tired reading the quotes from other teams and the reporters...

don't call them out on it.
Oregon players want a rematch because the "gave LSU 21 points". If I were a reporter, I would follow up with this question, "Why did you do that? Giving anyone that good 21 points seems stupid to me. If you had a decent defense, they maybe would have had to earn those points."
Then they said they "played LSU better than anyone else". Why doesn't the reporter say "Well, I guess you weren't one of the 18 million people that watched Alabama take them to overtime? And if you played them better than anyone else and still had had to score within the final minute to cut the lead to 13, why would anyone want a rematch of that? Are you sure that you want a rematch? Remember, they played that game without their starting QB and WR after a week of distractions. Are you a fricking Sadist?"

It was one player, dude. An 18 year old being interviewed and impromptu. Would've of you said some stupid shite too at that age in front of a camera? Geezus.
You LSU fans need to grow a thicker skin. Why do these threads keep popping up?

I can see it now...we win every game. And every ranked team we beat thinks they'd win a rematch.
It would be such a frickin' nightmare.
It would be such a frickin' nightmare.

Reporters usually dont blackball the people they're interviewing. Or else nobody would want to interview them.
Cant blame a kid for thinking his team deserves it over another. I'm sure everyone thought LSU's argument was dumb in 07.

Not when everyone lost and most clubs in major conferences had two losses.

What answer do you expect from an Oregon player? No, we do not deserve another shot. The question posed by the reporter was dumb. Anyway, this is going to be the story line, especially if OSU falls. It's going to be a nightmare but not for LSU. Everyone will be lobbying their case.
What the frick do you have to complain about?

I agree with all of that. I think most people just feel LSU, despite our wins, our ranking, and everything that goes along with that, continues to be slighted nationally. It's not that LSU was better, it's that another team outplayed us but just couldn't make multiple 50+ yard field goals. Or, well if James isn't hurt and they don't have to play that true frosh, etc. It's a fricking joke at this point, so we react negatively when we hear a player on your team say something to the effect.

IF we were to lose to a team we already beat, it would be BS.
A rematch is a lose-lose for LSU. Period.
Someone else should have a shot, IMO.
BTW...what does it say about LSU that there are 2 teams who could end up in a rematch with them for the NC? What does that say about LSU's body of work?
I'll tell you what it says. It says that even if LSU drops one to Arky or UGA, they STILL deserve to go to the NCG. ESPECIALLY over UO or Bama.

By the sound of it, the media won't let this happen. We could very well, if we lose and OSU loses, see an Oregon vs. Bama national championship game based on the talking heads trying to force their game down everyone's throat.

Well, I think some of it's deserved. Bama missed like 4 field goals and you won by 3. There is going to be a lot of "woulda, coulda, shoulda" argument. It definitely wasn't a convincing win against BAMA.
I really don't think any other game is in that category. Besides, every NC winner has need a little luck here or there.

this. damn guys, when you are #1 in the country for this long, you are the target. noboby says this kind of stuff about the #25 team.

Everything I've read says LSU would still go to the NCG if you lose one of those games. You still have nothing to complain about.

"Convincing"? haha, this is great. 1 vs. 2, everyone in the world picks 2 at home, and we now have to win "convincingly." haha, yeah the best team in a conference that has owned the last five NC's has to beat the perceived best team in the country on the road convincingly now.
Did you know, Cade Foster had made one field goal all year coming into the LSU game? It was from 45 yards. So missing multiple kicks of 50 plus isn't blowing the game.
Someone link this poster the stats of the NFL kickers this year, their efficiency from 50 plus and the number of teams that haven't even made a single field goal from beyond 50. And that's with the hash marks basically not being a factor. You're fricking brilliant bison.

Likely an 18 year old being silly and ranting on a message board.

Oregon knows they were outplayed.
Knew it then. Know it now.
Doesn't mean they should piss away a second chance at LSU though.
I frankly have no problem whatsoever with Duck players wishing they had another shot. Heck, depending on how this thing falls out, Oregon might be in and LSU might not even make it to NewOrleans. You never know. If UO and LSU met again, there certainly would be no guarantees. Having seen each other, each team could make adjustments. e.g., I'd bet good money Barner wouldn't turn his back on the LSU punt coverage again.
Good Luck Ducks!
Fun team to watch.

You're being a little bitch. You went to their place and pulled out a great victory. Sure, there is going to be some woulda, coulda, shoulda. Like I said: grow a thicker skin. It's not a big deal.

Bama missed 3 45+ yd field goals, and had 1 blocked. It's not like any of them were gimmies. They only penetrated the LSU red zone once in the entire game.
And if you want to play that game, LSU had the ball on the 1 right before the half, and were very close to punching one in. In addition, had Mike Ford not stepped out of bounds for no reason in OT, LSU wins 13-6 and no one is talking about a "3 pt win".
Secondly, I sure as frick hope you're not claiming that the UO wasn't convincing. Forget the turnovers...James rushed for 54 yards.

Why is it "luck" is LSU wins by 3 in Tuscaloosa, but "earned" if Bama wins.
frick this noise. You people are idiots.

I'm perfectly fine. I came here to say your players are dumb, and then tried to explain to you why some LSU fans feel slighted based on the media's constant stupidity.
