Boise isn't getting in over anyone with a CCG even if that team has one loss. Isn't going to happen.
I hope you are right.
It would take a freak season like 2007 and then, they may deserve it. Until there is a playoff system it's something we are all stuck with. I think people spend incredible amount of energy worrying about this little potential giant killer, and nothing has panned out yet and don't see it in the foreseeable future.

They could get in over a one-loss ACC or Big Ten champion but nor a one-loss SEC champion.

Think its important when that one loss happens. I doubt they would over a B10 team but possibly ACC. They may deserve going in over an ACC team.

Exactly! Last year was they best chance since they actually had a decent schedule due to the success of Virginia Tech, Nevada and Hawaii. However, this year their schedule will likely be much weaker regardless of what Georgia does. And remember, Hawaii didn't get into the game in 2007 despite being the only undefeated team.

I agree it is unlikely, but Boise does not deserve to even flirt with a shot at the big game considering their shitty, shitty schedule IMO. People may spend a lot of time fretting about this, but what is wrong with that? I think it is fun.

If it's fun, have at it... I think that's much different than this fixation some fans have.

I absolutely love this time of year. I watched football for 11 hours Saturday--the games began to run together.

I just get pissed that we are seeing an "affirmative action" type component in the system that wants to shake things up and reward the have nots. You are correct in that it seems to correct itself before the championship game so far.

Their schedule isn't as weak as you may think. Some folks make no distinction between the non-AQ conferences, but there is as much difference between them as there is the AQ conferences. The Mountain West is not the Sun Belt. As a matter of fact, there have been years when the Big East, and even the ACC, have had lower power rankings than the best non-AQ conferences. Last year Boise State actually had a stronger schedule than Wisconsin. For further proof of what I'm talking about, look at the latest BCS computer rankings. Houston's computer ranking is #13 while Boise State is #5, ahead of Stanford at #6.

No doubt. In fact, the B'east was no better than the MW IMO.

Who said anyone is "worried" about them?

OK youngsters-lol
there are two reasons for anything a politician does...and it applies to commentators and executives.
they have THE REASON THEY SHARE (good to get by-not real), THE REAL REASON (never shared).
I am sure his agenda is to push Boise..there= the real reason.
Learn to look beyond the words..consider the source, consider the alternate reason.
It will not lower your BP, but will make more sense to you.

The only fanbases that really just hate Boise for some reason seem to be LSU and Ohio St.
Not true at all. I think most large program fanbases have large amount of boise haters. I live in Atlanta, which has a hue amount of different fanbases, and They all can't stand the fact that they play tough schedules, and boise plays 1 real game a year, goes undefeated against high school teams and is always in the talk for the NC and makes a BCS bowl.
There are always a few people who stick up for them, but they ussually don't seem to not know as much, or don't really cheer for any one team specifically, and it they do, it isn't a contender

they have no idea what the SEC is about!!

That's more than likely the draw in the Sugar Bowl...it's always an sec powerhouse vs. the little guy with a good year from a lower major. Tired of this...set up a good game.
Look at the past 6 years:
January 2, 2006 West Virginia 38 Georgia 35
January 3, 2007 LSU 41 Notre Dame 14
January 1, 2008 Georgia 41 Hawaii 10
January 2, 2009 Utah 31 Alabama 17
January 1, 2010 Florida 51 Cincinnati 24
January 4, 2011 Ohio State 31 Arkansas 26

I feel a little responsible for the continued love affair with Boise. I really enjoyed their beating Oklahoma a few years ago. I thought it was kinda neat that this vacuum of space in the upper mid west was somehow relevent for a short time, now i regret it and wish the kool aid dispensers would geaux away!!!!

Unreliable sources. At one point earlier in the season, the computer rankings said Rice, Tulsa and UCLA was a tougher schedule than Oregon, NW State and West Virginia.

I can guarantee you that if LSU played Boise in the Sugar that most of the nation would pull for Boise. Boise isn't getting to the NCG, period. People can stop worrying about something that isn't going to happen.
