TIMES-PICAYUNE METRO FOOTBALL RANKINGS
LARGE SCHOOLS
1. St. Paul’s (8-0) State’s top-ranked Class 5A team two wins away from second straight 10-0.
2. Jesuit (8-0) No one is questioning the Blue Jays or their schedule following Brother Martin romp.
3. Rummel (7-0) Are Raiders next to fall on Jesuit’s hit parade? History says no.
4. East St. John (6-2) Wildcats have won five straight, but must beat Higgins to secure 8-5A title.
5. West Jefferson (6-2) Buccaneers go for their first seven-win regular season under Marcus Scott.
6. St. Augustine (5-3) Big Purple, East Jefferson decide District 9-4A championship tonight.

8. Mandeville (7-1) Skippers sail into Metro rankings, play host to surprising Fontainebleau.
9. Higgins (5-2) Fourth-quarter meltdown at Hahnville no help for ’Canes trip to East St. John.
10. McDonogh 35 (5-3) Not so lucky No. 10? Roneagles, No. 8 in Class 4A, face Karr at Behrman.

1. Curtis (7-0) Patriots seek 500th career victory for Coach J.T. Curtis versus Clark Prep.
2. St. Charles (8-0) Comets virtually clinch District 7-3A championship vs. Brusly.
3. Riverside (6-2) Newman’s loss to Cohen should be wake-up call for Uptown-bound Rebels.
4. St. Martin’s (7-0) Saints one week away from District 10-1A Super Bowl vs. Country Day.
5. McMain (5-3) Mustangs need one more win to clinch 10-3A title, automatic playoff qualifier.

I don't understand the following:
3. Rummel (7-0) Are Raiders next to fall on Jesuit’s hit parade? History says no.
I think the last time Jesuit was undefeated late in the season was 2004, and the Blue Jays beat Rummel 22-10.
Can someone explain the "history" referenced above? TIA
