Moffitt deserves high praise for LSU's preparedness this season...

I am so impressed with his use of this plyometrics regimen with the reported "relative strength" metric.
LSU Tigers: The Defense That Went To Fat Camp
This WSJ article should be commended. I have not heard this info reported before. One Rant thread previously reported on this, but it only received 4 reply posts. I thought the article may deserve more attention.
I would also like to applaud Chavis and Miles who, as mentioned in the article, were/are thinking "outside the box" with their "athletes who can run" and having (in practice) the "defense work against two offenses" philosophy implementation.
So thankful our LSU program is forward thinking and not content to just rest on our laurels. It appears we are reaping the benefits with this bleeding edge (IMO) thinking...

Great article and thanks. I, like yourself, had not heard this, but after reading, really like the mindset. Against Oregon there is not a doubt this worked. Last night, LJ had another stellar game gaining 239 yards rushing.
They say speed is the game and I beleive it. LSU has it. This was even more confirmed in the WV game.
I had noticed from the onset of the season that we appeared to be just slightly undersized. Now it all makes sense.
Thanks again. This week we will be tested against another team with speed, the Florida Gators. I like our chances.

With this forward thinking implementation (IMO), Florida doesn't stand a chance.
I'm taking it year by year - game by game. And this game it's Florida - Florida loses. LSU wins !!!
