Wally Pip.
I am surprised people still believe this. Coaches, like everyone...make mistakes.

doesn't know the game plan
This appeared to be the case for the past two years, and yet how many games did he start?

Give me JJ or give me death

That is a terrible argument. Lee started most of 2008 before we saw JJ. JJ has since held onto the starting position while healthy. It isn't like this is Lee's first big chance.

But do you think they make mistakes as the rule, or as the exception? To me, it's kind of telling that you have to go back to 1930 to get a good example.

What the frick are you talking about? of course JJ has "held on" to the position. I imagine you believe he will be "the best person" for the job when he comes back. After all, he held the job for the past two years. The argument is simply that the best person for the job doesn't always start.
Shouldn't JJ start upon his reinstatement since he is obviously the best person for the job?

JL deserves to continue the momentum the TEAM has built this year! JJ should consider the transfer.....most don't want him back and it it bad morale for both the TEAM and FANS.....GEAUX MARINES!!!

If Les starts JJ over Lee, I will blow an effing gasket.
Les won't be stupid enough to immediately hand the reigns to JJ. No frickin' way. I'm more concerned about what might happen during a stretch when Lee struggles. Without JJ, he would just play through it, as most starting QB's do. With JJ, Miles will be tempted to fiddle, which is counterproductive.

Of course coaches make mistakes, but your Wally Pipp comparison is terrible.

I am speaking strictly to those who believe the job is JJ's. Miles stuck with JJ when he struggled horribly last year, so there really isn't any telling what could happen a few weeks beyond reinstatement.

Not really. Of course, anything that disagrees with your agenda will be greeted with contempt.

I don't know if you would call situation replacement "fiddling." If Miles would have really "fiddled" you would have seen a new starter after the UF game. I think everyone knows JJ will get playing time.

When Les sent Lee in it fricked us all up.

Did JJ get to practice during this mess?

After he struggled terribly for several games, he should have fiddled. When Lee clearly outplayed JJ for 2 games in a row, Miles should have done more than fiddle. As we know, he didn't
If Lee were to struggle badly for a couple of games in a row, Miles should fiddle again. Of course, IMO he should use try Mettenberger because he already knows that JJ is not the answer unless he has several weeks to prepare for a game.
He should not fiddle after a couple of poor possessions...which is the worry of many posters on this board.

Stupidity almost seems smart when it's supported by numbers.
