For those who haven’t heard, that Alabama-LSU game in Tuscaloosa will be this season’s de facto SEC championship. The “SEC Championship” in Atlanta in December will merely fulfill the process.

The Alabama-LSU game will be the regular season’s national championship, and that BCS final in New Orleans in January will merely fulfill the process.

Bama has legitimate monsters straight out of pumkinhead. Their linebackers and secondary is scary

Gotta get there first. Florida is the biggest concern right now.

Bama has the better front 7. LSU has the better secondary.

I think their insanely good linebackers gives them an edge, but I also think we have a better offense

I think statistically its Bama. I believe this is scewed abit as Chavis's d scheme against WVU was designed to contain and give up the short yardage without giving up the big play. Clearly it worked but we gave up a ton of total yards. Fortunately there is no crystal ball for statistic leaders.

Well the 500+ yds we gave up doesn't help our argument.

But Bama hasn't played an offense like WVU or Oregon.

If Saban has seen the future, I'm glad he's seen both LSU and Alabama go into their meeting undefeated. I guess I can skip watching the next 4 or 5 LSU games since we've already won them. Imagine: four games into the season we're 9-0. Cool.

Too early to tell. Bama's numbers look better, but they haven't faced the caliber offenses that LSU has.

I hate to say it but AL. I think LSU is #2 in the nation. I think LSU will have trouble with AL rushing 5-7 people and our WRs will have trouble getting open.

Note to Miles please use Beckham not Shep. Beckham can get open.

As of now you have to go with LSU because of the caliber of teams they have played.

Position by Position Bama might have a slight edge!!!

Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Both are susceptible in giving up points and yards any day. I think we have the overall stronger secondary. I would give LSU a "slight" edge to our defensive line just due to the depth and amount of fresh players (that just happen to be really good) we can rotate in. I think their linebackers are heads and shoulders better than ours as a unit. I also would give them the edge in coaching, but we aren't far off. It's a push. Coin flip. Whatever you wanna call it. Both are very good and talented.
