So, it looks like LSU vs. Auburn, as thrilling an annual match as any,

will be a casualty if/when Missouri joins. And that's a pity.

HOWEVER...

We pick up an old foe whom we've actually played more over the years... A&M, who before the relatively recent arrival of the SEC West was a much more traditional and hated foe.

Is this a wash?

Replacing Auburn with A&M is a wash at worst. It has potential to be a great rivalry, though I love to hate Auburn.

The bigger loss is Bama bs UT, that is an old rivalry.

I almost feel like Auburn is breaking up with it's crazy, alcoholic girlfriend (LSU) because it's old high school girlfriend (UF) moved back to town.

But don't worry. We're not completely breaking up. We'll get to see each other every few years.

I'll certainly miss LSU-Auburn much more so than LSU-Florida. One of the previous posters is correct... the biggest casualty in all this will be Alabama vs. Tennessee. No ghosts of Bryant versus Neyland? It's almost heretical.

Nice analogy. What are Bama and UGA though?

I guess that would make UGA our brother, and UA our cousin?

Only because I know the "Big brother/little brother" talk is coming from the Bama fans.
