So here in Texass there are a couple of places to watch the tigers. Ragin Cajun is one of em and there are plenty of other SEC schools represented. Many different opinions of who should join sec.
1. Clemson
2. VT
3. WVU
4. Mizzou
5. Flor. St.
6. OKST
7. UNC
8. (Write in option)

FSU and only FSU and be done with it. Or continue winning national championships every year without them.

Assuming Texas A&M as #13, here are my next choices:

1. Virginia Tech
2. FSU

3. Clemson
4. NC State (and/or UNC or Duke)

5. Missouri

:kige:
If we can't get them or Clem, I can't really think of a team I'd be happy with.

Don't think this is going to happen -- unless their AD was on the radio tonight lying through his teeth. Stranger things have happened, but he strikes me as a straight shooter.

For example:

He said directly that he does not believe that the SEC is the best fit for VT. He also sounded committed to staying in the ACC, hinting that a 16-member conference may well be in the offing.

Take it for what it's worth...

Clemson. Few seem to agree with me on this, but they already look, act, and smell like an SEC team. They have a passionate fanbase, tradition, and SEC-sized stadium.

You guys in LA and TX probably don't get to see this as much as the view here in Atlanta.

I agree, I was really impressed at the game on Satuday. For it being a detached, open stadium, they got that place LOUD.

I agree with this. I think Clemson is absolutely the best cultural fit for the SEC. The only reason I would rank FSU and VT above them is for expanded tv markets and recruiting areas (and possibly national following).

I went to the game this weekend and it felt like being in an SEC town. Aside from that whole Auburn getting our butt beat b/c we have no defense thing, it was a great experience. BTW, a complete contrast from going to Morgantown which was a sh*thole with trashy people...I wonder if most of the people wanting WVU for the SEC have been to these places.

And the moment they join the SEC, their stadium will instantly become louder.

If we are stopping at 16 - A&M, OU, OKST & TCU.
18 - FSU & Clemson
20 - VT & WVU
22- MO & SFL
24 - VA & NC

Ain't this fun?!

Definitely aTm. More exposure to Texas HS, not a real threat to win the west, but still a respectable win. I think that benefits LSU and the SEC the most.
