You do not need the threat of the run from the QB position to be successful on offense.

While that's true, I think it closes portions of the offense. I didn't say we weren't successful, I said we haven't been explosive so far - you don't have to run to be explosive, but you have to have big runs out of the QB or a deep passing game to be explosive, in my opinion.

False. When the play breaks down,which is about 5 times per game, and your QB can run, it has value. Also, having JJ back there with wheels is like having a 3rd) back there and the defense has to keep a DB or LB on him at all times which frees up other players. Carry on.

Yes we need a quarterback that will make defenses respect the run and pass and lee does not fit the bill and the coaches can protect him only for so long. Defenses will start getting to him and I hope he proves us wrong.
