JJ was the benfactor of Lee's injury. Once Miles swtiched to JJ, he stuck with JJ no matter what.

Now Lee is the benefactor of JJ's off-the-field issues, so Miles turned to the 5th year Sr, and Lee is now the starting QB.

Independent of the reason, whether the person caused the benching issue or not, this seems to be the precedent for Miles and QB's.

I personally think JJ got a raw deal, but that is how life unfolds. This is not about JJ. This is about the breaks of life and what is good for the team. This is not about Lee, this is about whether he is capable enough to lead us to the promise land, meaning what is best for the team.

If JJ is innocent, which may very well turn out to be the case, it will be a personal travesty for him, but that poor fortune does not trump what is best for the team and for hundreds of thousands of Tiger fans who see a special team on a roll with a more-than-adequate QB, and we should not mess with that no matter what.

If he is cleared, he should play in a mix-it-up, off-the-bench roll and as an emergency QB in case Lee gets hurt along the way.

Doesn't that make sense?

If not, offer a well-thought opinion of why something else makes more sense. Otherwise, lets watch this special momentum and season roll on!

Geaux JJ, Geaux Lee and most importantly, GEAUX TIGERS!

I see your point. But if you're fundamentally saying that Lee should start because he "deserves this chance", or because JJ's return would upset hundreds of thousands of spectators with no inside knowledge of the team's workings, then I can't agree with it.

What's best for the team is for the coaches to consider who gives us the best chance to win, and start that guy. If that's Lee, this is a pretty simple dispute to settle. Leave him in. All but a few people would be happy. If it's Jefferson, then I don't think he should be left out simply because rotating him would upset some fans and deprive Lee of his chance. Politics of the situation be damned.

In the end, the best player should be the one leading the offense. The coaches will make that call.

Some folks in this thread are acting as if the clock stopped ticking and that no new data is now in hand. Everyone knows that prior to the off-field issues, that Miles was planning on playing JJ, and that he felt JJ would give us the best chance to win. BUT, and it is a HUGE BUT, since then, 1) Lee has proven to be a much better QB than what Miles previously must have assessed him to be, probably in large part to Krags coaching and also to gettng first team reps with the starters, and 2) JJ has huge emotional issues surrounding him and has missed tremendous time with the team and is not prepared in any way to jump back in stride as if all that did not occur.

So, learn how to think, and realize that this spot in time is TOTALLY different than the day before his issues occured, and NOW, with NEW DATA in hand, and a team playing very well and moving the ball on offense fairly effectively, Miles has a different set of conditions to consider and is much more apt NOW to assess that Lee gives LSU the best chance to win, whereas before he felt JJ did.

Can't you understand that simple concept?
