Well I know how teams like Notre Dame are in Big East in Basketball but nothing in football he thanks tho

Nothing indicates the announced realignment is "football " only. Looks like all sports.

Not sure, but probably just the major/universal sports. Even now don't minor sports like hockey, lacrosse, gymnastics, etc form their own conferences because not all of the schools field teams?
