My thoughts for last night were all positive except the horrific special teams play....especially the punter Howard 37 yard average against BAMA is not gonna cut it!

Only part of special teams that concern me is kickoffs. Mo looks like hell get us some good starting position. Wing is a beast. Alleman was perfect last night thankfully.

i agree the kickoffs were bad as well and i know hes a backup but when is Wing off crutches? hopefully in the next 3 weeks we can pull it together on that end.

I had the same take away, bothered me since Oregon. I was extremely concerned about how short the kick offs were and the resulting starting field position. Plus on two occasions the returner was a step away from possibly taking it all the way. I don't know if its a leg strength issue or we are kicking it that short thinking we are going to get down and cover. That has to improve. We can't give teams that kind of starting field position even with our defense.
