Special Teams is garbage

We kickoff to the 15 every time and if you think those are designed sky kicks that give our coverage team an extra 5 seconds to run down then you are a very special breed of rantard. NW State and MSU are bringing every kick back to the 35-40 and barely getting tripped up on shoestring tackles, we're looking at some 85 yard returns when we play teams with actual talent soon if we don't make changes.
The lame onside squib KO not only fails but we have a guy offsides on the play so it would have been negated anyway. Nice work.
PRs lose more yards than they gain and KO return team is below average at best and we had a big holding penalty on a kickoff return.
I hope McGaughey can recruit, cause it sure looks like he he can't coach. He has one DE commit from Texas so far, so he better start getting some more Texas talent or perfecting his pulled pork recipe.

Field goals were the only bright spot on special teams last night. We sucked in every phase other than that.

I agree this is mostly overlooked in the afterglow of a win. Do we not have anyone who can kick inside the 15?

we should probably go ahead and bring that chick soccer player in, she can't be weaker at kickoffs

Joe rob was a much better Coach it appears. On kickoff returns our coverage freezes and reacts. Not good

Seriously, in the Saban years we would pin teams inside the 10 regularly. This is gonna be big later in the season.

the point being kicking high to the 10 is better than line-driving to the 1. however, kicking between the 15 and 20 is a problem. although LSU only gave up 16.5 per return
maybe Wing can kickoff when he comes back
