Additionally, the idea of fans "having a voice" in decisions like this didn't exist in 1990. There was basically no forum for any fan to express his views outside writing a letter to the editor. There was no mass push for or against. There simply wasn't a forum for it. The idea at the time was "In Frank We Trust" and people just didn't feel like there was any difference to be made by a fan.

We took what we were given, and it was preferable in many ways. If you took a poll today, I doubt you'd find more than 5% of fans who think it wasn't the right move. And that 5% would all be over the age of 50.
