As I was watching their game against AU, I was thinking that their MLB, #10 would be a likely replacement for ol' "Pancake".

Lawrence was actually there best player on D

I've seen those two hits and never put it together that its the same guy getting blasted. I'll bet if he sees a yellowish car coming down the road he pulls off to the side.

I remember being in the front row of the SS last year and just everyone at one time saying, "BOOOM!" I cracked up, and felt terrible cuz that poor kid got knocked into the next week...

It seems like there's always a tone-setting hit on MSU. Remember Cam Vaughn knocking out Jerious Norwood's mouthpiece?

i didn't realize Zach Smith took that punishment both times

Smith admitted last year suffering from headaches, blackouts and other problems related to concussion issues but how bad were his symptoms? Depends on who you ask.

Both LaFell and Loston led with their helmets (LaFell somewhat less so). I love big hits but cheering about giving this kid a concussion by going headfirst is like cheering for Chaz Ramsey.

it's cool. Zach probably doesn't remember either.

I think both were clean hits. I don't know how the kid let himself get blown up by Loston. There was no way he didn't see him coming. Keep your head on a swivel.

He did. Not dirty. Not malicious. Smith just didn't do anything about it. Took it square and knocked him out.

Loston is what 6'2-6'3 210 lbs? Running full speed...What would have been the "proper" block?Looks like he put helmet and shoulder pads right in the dude's chest. If the helmet was on his chin, his head wouldn't have snapped the way it did.
