Arkansas AD Speaks on Expansion (Rivalries and Revenue)

Ark AD Expansion
*SEC is already a super-conference.
*LSU is a much bigger rivalry than TAMU and much closer for the majority of our fan base.
*TAMU has opened up the memory bank to older fans
*The Western schools benefit from Expansion.
*Conference have contacted Arkansas but Arkansas is STRONGLY committed to the SEC.
*SEC doesn't want to pull the first trigger but is prepared for conference changes
*Arkansas AD and Chancellor have had direct communication with Slive.
*Long doesn't know how a School with it's own network would workout in the SEC

Winning or losing the game equals a BCS slot or SEC Championship shot usually goes into a rivalry.

Rivalries are thing of the past as supported by proposed projections of conference additions.

You don't know how perception works do you?
ESPN, websites, tv stations etc. call Arkansas and LSU a rivalry. Arkansas spread it as a rivalry regardless of what LSU says. Therefore, the public perception is it's a rivalry no matter what you have to say.
Arkansas will continue to add onto the perception with wins and word of mouth. Say something long enough and loud enough and it becomes reality.

Let's see there was last year that the loss kept LSU out of the Sugar, and I think one other year during the Saban era that a loss to the pigs kept LSU out of the SECCG.
