What will the East & West divisions look like if 2 western teams join the SEC?

I think it's pretty much a given that Auburn has to go East, but if you do that, then you might want to swap Alabama and Vanderbilt as well, so that Alabama can continue to play both Auburn & Tennessee each year. I know that Tuscaloosa is a slight bit west of Nashville, but that's a trifling geographical concern.
SEC West
Arkansas
LSU
Mississippi
Mississippi State
Oklahoma
Texas A&M
Vanderbilt
SEC East
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
South Carolina
Tennessee
The conference could then switch from the 5-1-2 format to a 6-1-1 format, or perhaps a 6-1-2 format if we go to 9 conference games per team.
The East-West ties then might look something like this...
ARK-SCAR
LSU-AL
OM-GA
MSU-KY
OK-FL
TAMU-AUB
VU-TN
SEC West
Arkansas
LSU
Mississippi
Mississippi State
Oklahoma
Texas A&M
Vanderbilt
SEC East
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
South Carolina
Tennessee

True. The state of Mississippi has always been "barely" SEC as it is.
Historically, though, it does make a little bit of sense, as both LSU & Ole Miss were invited to join in on the original formation of the SWC back in 1914.
LSU did have old rivalries with Texas, Texas A&M, Arkansas, and Rice, before we generally stopped playing those teams around the 70's or so ... with the exception of TAMU.

I suggested an SEC North/SEC South set-up with Oklahoma but two other posters freaked at that idea.
SEC North: Arkansas, Georgia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Vanderbilt
SEC South: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, LSU, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas A&M
Ultimately I think they'll pick an eastern team so this will be mute.

Interesting split there.
Geographically, Ole Miss > Georgia > Miss. State > Alabama in terms of northern latitude.
You could argue that Ole Miss needs to play both LSU & MSU, but on the other hand Georgia needs to play both Auburn & Florida.
Personally, I could live with the LSU vs. Ole Miss rivalry dying. The Rebels aren't worthy.
EDIT: Ole Miss is also farther north than South Carolina, so they really need to be in a Hillbilly Division. South Carolina and Georgia are so close, that it might actually make more sense to put Georgia in a Hillbilly Division and South Carolina in a Coastal Division.
SEC Gulf & Coastal Division
Alabama
Auburn
Florida
LSU
Miss. State
South Carolina
Texas A&M
SEC Hills Folk Division
Arkansas
Georgia
Kentucky
Mississippi
Oklahoma
Tennessee
Vanderbilt

Someone posted a link to a U.S. map with all the Div I-A Universities marked on the map, and it seemed you could draw a straight line through Ole Miss, Georgia and South Carolina, without hardly any slant. Alabama and Auburn were below the line. Unless the map was wrong. Regardless, i just stuck Ole Miss in the South because of the Egg Bowl. Seems that would have to be preserved before LSU-Ole Miss, Georgia-Auburn or Georgia-Florida.
Vanderbilt being in the Hills Folk division is awesome!
I'm sure they'd love that! What you get for not having much of a football team I guess.

Yeah, the Egg Bowl would be their one annual North-South interdivisional rivalry game.
Wouldn't it be?
Of course it would probably be more to their liking to just call the divisions the "Upper Division" and the "Lower Division" based on elevation above sea level, similar to ancient Egypt.

I like it, just drop the tie in games and just rotate 2 teams each year from the East, staying at 8 overall conference games and keeping the 4 nonconference games

How the divisions wash out is really my only concern. I would prefer to keep the standing members intact and build around. If it did have to shuffle up this probably the best split. If it were up to me I would make one of the new schools play in the east division for how ever long it takes to pick up two more schools in the east and then move them back west. I have a feeling we will be at 16 teams pretty quick so they would probably only be inconvenienced for a season.

I could do without the tie ins

Come to think of it, none of those would be truly important.

If Alabama and Auburn are in the same division as Georgia and Tennessee, there won't be permanent rivals from the other division anymore. I never had a problem with the permanent rivals like others may have.
