Will Texas A&M be a more natural rival to Arky or LSU?

And what will the other team do now for their main rivalry?

I'm too young to remember it, but they say aTm was a huge rival to LSU awhile back. So I thought it would be LSU. But weren't aTm and Arky pretty big rivals in the Southwest Conference days?

It won't change anything either way. People think LSU fans crave a natural rival and to be honest, I don't think most of us worry about that.

Exactly! There are good arguments both ways.

I think TAMU will hate LSU more.

I think Arkansas and LSU will remain kind of indifferent, unless A&M gets to be real good.

The new will wear off, and A&M will just be another game, IMO.

I know I personally won't hate A&M as much as I hate the current SEC West teams. Its just too new as a conference game, and we beat them a lot more often than not.

Ark/A&M is a rivalry but a friendly rivalry to be honest.

Not a lot of real hostility, message board hatred aside.

its not hard to hate the aggies. Really really easy to get under their skin and they are up there with one of the most delusional fanbases. I know LSU and A&M rivalry will be intense once it gets going.

LSU, most likely. LSU has a score to settle after losing 6 of 7 before the CB meeting this year. Those old wounds still sting the Tigers when Aggy brings it up, or so it seems.

Eh, some older may dislike them. Told my dad about them coming over and his response, "There's never been anything good thats came outta texas."

Yeah, but that was just general SWC hatred. I used to fricking HATE the Houston Cougars when I was a kid. Their football (cheaters) were pretty salty in the 80s. Their basketball team was also pretty competitive. We hated the whole SWC.

Kind of how I hate every last SEC team when we play them.

Could it be a 3-way rivalry? Something similar to USC vs. Notre Dame vs. Michigan ?

A&M will probably come closer to being a rivalry with LSU. They weren't our rivalry back in the SWC days, so I don't see them being one now or in the future. Texas is A&M's true rivalry. I never knew of any Razorback fans getting that fired up about playing A&M...ever. Texas was a different story. A&M felt the same way we did re: Texas. Texas never admitted that we were a rival, though it's hard for them to deny being one with A&M.

I can see LSU hating us both in the future.

Most Texas fans that I know over here in the Houston area view OU as their main rival and A&M as their annoying little brother.
