Yes it is important to keep backs fresh but they both will not be running the ball at the same time.. The point of it is we are putting our 2 best RB's (Who some ppl say) are the best backfield tandem last year, but this is this year and we can argue all about it and i am sure we will lol. We put our playmakers out there now you can't just worry about LMJ, now you have to worry about all the other guys and we can spread the d out even further. In theory this opens up holes some where in the defense and we will find them.
So yeah we are using our 2 best back at once, but we will be using 3 RB's this year I assume and with the true frosh De'Anthony Thomas he will be able to sub in for which ever one needs rest and yet he has yet to play a down in CFB. I don't think we fall of much with him in. He has blowing up our D in practice from what i hear, he consistenly is busting off big runs.
