Miles History Lesson 101: Co-DC, The Wizard and Shadygate

Miles does not take action until he has to. For good of bad, that is his history.
Miles shows loyalty to those he likes. He could have let the C0-Dc's go before the end to 2008 even though everyone knew that was going to be their fate. He could have gotten rid of Crowton much before the end of 2010, but he waited.
Miles is doing the same thing now. He will not make a premature decision, even if he otherwise happens to agree with those who feel it is time now to do so for the sake of football itself.
Here is what he may be thinking:
- For this week, give JJ his share of snaps while making sure Lee gets just as many, and Mett gets his share.
- Miles should be able to know by the beginning of game week (this weekend or on Mon 8/29) what to do with JJ (and the others).
- If JJ's situation does not look favorable at that timeframe, Miles may outwardly name Lee (or maybe just to the coaches) as the starter, and Lee will get the first team snaps and Mett will get the remaining snaps, with JJ getting minimal or none.
- If JJ is completely cleared, Miles will retain JJ as the starter, but expect Lee to get much more PLANNED playing time than otherwise as part of the message to JJ that he let Miles down and needs accountability of some form.
- If JJ is still uncertain, he names Lee as the starter since it is game week, and make a statement that "the time has come to move one way or another, and due to the continuing uncertainty of JJ's situation, he will remain with the team and will play, but Lee is the starter due to the overall situation".
- If JJ is arrested, he will be kicked off the team.
Then there is the Les poker playing angle, which also has merit. In this case, Les basically follows the same process minus naming the starter, but in practice and internal to the team moves to Lee being the starter for the cases where it applies, but keeps Oregon guessing and never publicly announces it till Lee runs out onto the field on 9/3.
An important fact is that there are no eligibility issues here. This is legal, image management and disciplinary in nature. If JJ plays against Oregon and helps us win and THEN is arrested, we do not have to vacate the win or be concerned with the NCAA.
Basically, history shows that Les will not move until he has to. Game week is when he has to, so unless the BRPD advance any arrest to a time prior to that, do not expect Miles to name a starter until his definition of "game week preparation".

That would be a very wise move by Les. A premature decision could do more harm than good. I am positive about Les having a plan in place in case of any outcome.

Don't count on this

I can always count on your threads to be long winded, repetitive and rehashed bull shite.

Pretty much
I don't expect miles to name a starter at all
If anything to throw off oregon

This is what I believe also. I really feel the decision is made already. He just isn't letting anyone not in house know about it.

Correct
Just a guess: he suspended JJ already

yes, this theory has merit also. I should have included that as a possibility that would preclude him naming a starter.

Going into 2005 les never named a starter
Jamarcus stepped out on the field at arizona state and that was that.

If you really feel this way, it does not say much for your decision-making if you still read them and take time to respond. Just sayin.
As for rehashing, where have you seen this layed out. Sure parts of almost everyone's post cover some of this material, so you are saying no one should express their rant or opinion. Move along, quit reading my posts, and quit responding to them if you think that way. That's all you have to do. If my posts have no value, your responses to them have even less value.
