Sitting in a tree stand were you have kept a few hundred pounds of corn for the last year and shooting that big buck is a not much more than a canned hunt but you can call yourself a hunter

I think you may be watching to much TV....in most all low fence hunting a Mature Buck will not come to a feeder and eat. He may come at night but not during the day. And Chances are if you kill a buck with nice horns eating corn when you age him you will find out rather quickly he was a young deer. I don't really care what people do or how they hunt as long as they do it legally. I have a feeder set up and I have a stand close to the feeder that me and the kids hunt out of. Gives them a chance to actually see deer and enjoy the hunt. Then I have stands set up away from food sources that I hunt.

I second this.
I hunt one tract that is 100% pine.
Deer do not eat pinestraw. If it wasnt for corn, I wouldnt have a chance in hell to put my nephews and little cousins on a stand and see enough deer to keep there interests.
