It ain't broke - don't try to fix it!

The ABC/ESPN Longhorn network is shaking the foundation of D-1 college football. Are the $ really that important? They are about to change the college landscape with greed.

Think UT has sold its soul to the devil.

Does ESPN want to replace the NCAA? Write a few more $300 mil checks & they may be the new power broker in college sports. What a shame.

Won't see it in my lifetime, don't have that many years left, but the vision is clear. Four minimum 16 team conferences that leave the NCAA under the guidance of ESPN $.

What a shame. Why can't they simply report the sports news instead of creating it?

ESiPN is doing their damned best to smear Texas A&M right now and put the kibosh on this whole deal. With every negative article and negative tweet from those jerkoffs, i become more convinced we are absolutely doing the right thing by going to the SEC.

And this surprises who? They have committed $300 mil to their agenda. It's one thing to go after Mike Leach, but their ego is out of control. Can only hope the conference directors see what is happening. The tail is about to start wagging the dog!

then you've lived long enough to witness the death of news, period. we, the viewers are really to blame; we get "bored" with the news and demand editorial content with the news, weather (of all things)and sports. the "slant" is the deal. the news is "sold" not reported. espn seems to be determined to run the show. i feel sorry for the texas tech's and baylors of the world. the big east and the big 12-3 are dead.

It is a fairly good indicator that A&M's doing something right.

Maybe ESPN needs to drum up publicity for the LHN. No one has picked it up and maybe if there's drama attached to it, people will want to watch. Reality TV!!!

Never cared much for the Aggies, but they are the first to stand up & tell the Longhorns they have had enough. OU will ride TX shirt tails as long as it can. OsSt rides with OU. Time to step up Oklahoma! Push UT & ESPN mama to independent.

Gotta love TX - legislature calls a meeting for Tue to discuss athletics - A&M board of regents mo ves an Aug 22 meeting to Mon to empower the Pres to make decisions concerning athletic conference affiliation. Rumored that some legislaters want to withhold state funding if A&M leaves the Big 12 (10)

ESPN is the reason BYU went Independent. It's a joke. They are in the business of making the news, not reporting it anymore.

We've been on a massive email-writing campaign to local reps. It's been pretty big. I doubt they try to stop the move. They are just posturing and acting like they are doing something to appease Baylor.
