History: Jason Campbell was a JJ type QB @ Auburn - new OC/QB coach, Al Borges, joins the staff in his senior year & immediately turns him into an NFL QB.
Today: Reported that Coast Krag, in a conversation with with his brother, says," I have to keep coaching ..... for Jordan Jefferson ".
Let's hope history repeats!

Campbell did have Cadillac and Ronnie Brown. Not that Ware and Ford aren't good but that was quite the tandem. Btw, those two guys are what I remember of their offense.

JJ reminds me of pro jason campbell. stupid, confused look on the face. gives you enough to think he can be the guy, but always leaves you wanting for more. campbell played really great in 04 for the barn. if JJ can duplicate that performance, no team will play within 2 TDs of us

You're right in that regard, they were great numbers, but you can't honestly believe that the WR Corps has nothing to do with that disparity.

Mauck had 1000 fewer yds than Luck from last season, and 10 fewer TDs than Jones from last season (and nearly 2000 yds more than Mauck's record setting season!!!). Kellen Moore also puts up stupid numbers.
Fact is, I was referring to the Duck fan, knowing they are VERY into numbers. Numbers are overrated as evidenced by the numbers put up by the aforementioned 'stupid numbers' guys, and their shared lack of crystal footballs.

He was a game manager. He also had more opportunity due to a defense that was smothering, and didn't allow the opposition to control the clock. I won't say the WRs were the reason he was successful, as there have been better corps of WRs at LSU than what he had, although his were good.
And again, whether he was (in your opinion or mine) a game manager or not, he did not put up 'stupid numbers'. Just stupid numbers for an LSU/SEC QB.

Flynn took a lot of risks too, and threw a shiteload of picks in '07. But he knew when to manage the game.

What SEC quarterback in the last 15 years threw for stupid numbers. This is the SEC where championships are won and defense is played. Put those quarterbacks in the SEC and see if they can even stay healthy through a whole season.

Exactly. We don't play stupid numbers football in the SEC...which was my point in the first post I made.
