ugh... are you only allowed to pick people after a certain round.. that cant be your full team

we keep 12, my first 9 are dead locks

Definitely James Shields. I would also think Josh Beckett, but he is getting up there in age. Bourn is a very good fantasy baseball player, but Adam Lind is hard to pass up on. I would probably pick Scherzer after that.
Keep:
Shields
Beckett
Bourn (if you need or want steals, otherwise keep Lind)
Definitely eliminate:
Sanchez
Morrow
Possibly Storen and Soria (depends on your closer situation, but closers are volatile, so I do not recommend keeping them often)
Just curious, who are your dead locks? Seems like this is a strong team if you have nine guys way better than this.

Damn, four team league?
Michael Young is still a really good player that puts up worthy numbers, but his age is definitely the killer there. I would even recommend keeping him, but you already have second and third covered.
Since you already have Kemp and Granderson, you do not need Bourn. I would change my keepers to Beckett, Shields, and Lind.
Also, how many outfield and utility spots are there because you already have Kemp, Hamilton, Granderson, and Holliday in the outfield. If you only have one utility spot, then I would change to Lind to Scherzer because it is not worth a keeper spot on a bench player.

Don't keep Bourn. Keeping a steals guy is stupid, they are readily available.
You gotta keep Lind and a 3rd starter. Beckett, scherzer, I guess Shields. Beckett would be the best in a "win" format, scherzer is up and coming. Shields is pitching well now but has shite the bed more seasons than not.
For the 3rd, I'd look at a closer. Depending on what happens to Soria, I'd keep him. Storen is young and good too, but Clippard is always looming.

Good point. He is actually coming around with his hitting though and having a good OBP. I figure he will only improve in Atlanta.

Not really. If his league is only one utility, then Lind will be just chilling on the bench. However, it is a really good back-up plan in case of an injury.

Just because you don't like him doesn't mean that he cannot be a viable option.

don't look now but bourn is actually the 15th best player on espn's fantasy player rater this season

Lind is also 1b eligible.
I'm guessing he has multiple utility spots and probably a 1B/3B. Some leagues have 5 OF.
There's room for him I'd bet

Those ratings calculators jack off to steals. Player A could be better in the other four cats, but Player B could have 30+ more steals and Player B can be ranked higher. The only reason Bourn has more value than say Coco Crisp is because his OBP is pretty good this year (traditionally shitty for a lead off hitter) and he will score more runs than in Houston.

nope C, 1B, 2B, 3B, SS, OF, OF, OF, UTIL

He said he has 3 outfield and 1 utility. However, if there is room for Lind to start, then keep him. I am not arguing that, but I would not start him over Kemp, Granderson, Holliday, Tex, or his other top outfielder.
There we go, you do not need Lind. Try to trade him now if possible and maybe package him with Shields for a really good pitcher and keep him or trade for a player or prospect at a needed position.

Damn that's a pretty limited roster.
Trade Lind for a catcher or SS
Maybe take a chance of a young guy like Arencibia. You have enough good hitters to get a prospect at one of those thin positions.
