What happened to Chancey Aghayere? Will he get decent playing time being buried on the depth chart? He was a solid prospect coming out of high school:

"Rated as one of the top defensive linemen in the nation ... Played in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl ... Rated the No. 14 overall prospect in the nation and No. 3 defensive end by ESPN.com ... A consensus four-star player by both Scout.com and Rivals.com ... Named to the Rivals.com 250 and rated the No. 10 defensive end ... Ranked No. 16 on the Rivals.com Texas Top 100 for 2008 ... Listed No. 6 on SuperPrep's Texas 110 ... Member of the Houston Chronicle Top 100 for Texas ... Listed as the No. 2 player on the Austin American Statesman 55 ... Finished his senior season with 78 tackles and 12 sacks ... Recorded 54 tackles (21 tackles for losses) and five sacks as a junior ... Coached by Jeff Jordan."

What's his story?

Buried behind Sam Montgomery & Lavar Edwards

They'll play him some in cleanup

Not much of a pass rusher is what I'm guessing. Chavis likes guys that put pressure on the QB. He seems like he can be ideal as a 3-4 DE. I believe he's 6'4" and in the 280's right now.

Since he's one of our larger DE's, maybe they'll move him inside for passing downs.

He played a good bit last year, and I expect him to do so again this year. We'll rotate plenty of guys in there.

Yes it seems he never recovered from the knee or never returned to form after the injury, I have also heard rumors of him transferring.

Blew-up his knee and was never the same. Such a shame cause I was enamored with his high school film. He played with such great natural leverage and knee bend. He also had incredible hand strength and was able to effortlessly shed blockers. He was going to be a damn good one.

Rumors of him transferring are not true.
