you should realize that loss only when you sell the player
and my team, as best i can tell, has only gone up. i don't see a net negative of 0.5

ok 1.4 points in the bank right now
my team value is 100.1M, so it was 101.5 prior to my transfer this week (which gave me money in the bank)
