Obviously I have a limited amount of knowledge on the entire situation, but I assume that once I dispute the charge it will be revoked and the company will then turn me over to a collection agency that will try and "convince" me to pay my debts. I couldn't care less about a few phone calls here and there, but I assume there is some mechanism by which my credit is affected by these debts being handed over to an agency.

Oh I see what you are saying, I also have limited knowledge, but I think once you dispute it your company debits your account. And then the company fights the bank for the 75 dollars.

The bank will just take the hit for the $75. I doubt they will even waste their time trying to collect such a small amount.

They will credit your account without much problem. I had two instances where they credited my account. One of those times was actually my fault but I was to embarrassed to go back in and tell them that after they credited my account. (got real fricked up one night and played $300 worth of online poker )
