i can't tell if the posters in the reddit thread are trolling or not. if they aren't, the "rest of the world" (or two or three reddit posters) seems to be completely out of tune with sporting culture in the united states
some of the best:
1. the american outlaws is a group of ultras
a. they are affiliated with a 1%er motorcycle gang
b. their attire is "thuggish" (apparently, many people are completely unfamiliar with what thuggish attire looks like in america)
2. the american public is familiar with that type of behavior, especially those that attend SEC football games
3. aggressive name-calling in a sporting atmosphere usually escalates to something more
4. intense rivalry always results in a clusterfrick, everywhere. americans deal with it
5. large scale screening of ticketed fans shouldn't be expected because we complain about the tsa
hopefully, some prominent journalist latches onto the letter
