When I was growing up in the 1970's; I recall the football games beginning at 7:30 or 8:00 pm.

Is this accurate? And why did it ever change besides TV.

Kredick is right, Bob Broadhead made the change and made some good points at the time regarding media coverage, time zones etc. Broadhead did a lot of good imo, but like many "men of power" he was also a bit paranoid and blew himself up in the end. In many ways he was way ahead of his time, Tigervision, Hiring of coaches, etc

How would the west coast papers not get the scores? They're 2 hours BEHIND us which translates into EXTRA time.
