I don't really like any of these options

I like Ream as a prospect though. And it wouldn't really bother me to see Boca-Ream-Goodson-Cherundolo. But I still think I'd go with Bornstein/Lichaj-Boca-Goodson-Dolo, just because I'd feel better about the center back partnership.

I don't think Ream was as bad as people made him out to be against Spain though. He was bad but a couple guys were worse. He's also a young center half, its not surprising that he had a bad day.

You also need to look at what a team's strength is. You could get away with Bornstein/Lichaj more against a team like the U.S. who doesn't really have out and out wingers.

Even though I've said Bornstein did ok at the World Cup its not like he had to go up against any elite right wingers.

I don't know what Canada has, or how they play. I thought they had Junior Hoillett but apparently he wasn't called up, or they couldn't call him up.

It was also his first game against really elite competition. Spain is on another level technically from what he's been up against in a game.
