I'm thinking of packaging these two together to upgrade my pitching staff just a little. I'm pretty comfortable with my current Outfield and I feel like hitting is not going to be a problem with my team.

For the teams in my league that need outfield help here is the pitchers I'm hoping I could get in return. I know some of these guys are pretty much untouchable, just want to get an idea of who you guys think I should set my standards for in return.

Their OF's in parenthesis.

Team 1 - Hanson, Lester (Berkman, Ludwick, Markakis, Delmon Young, Ethier)

Team 2 - Ubaldo, Jurrjens, Beckett (Chris Young, Span, Gordon, McCutchen, Franklin Gutierez)

Team 3 - Josh Johnson, Marcum (L. Scott, D. Brown, Swisher, Gardner, Stanton)

Team 4 - Buckholz (DeJesus, Fowler,Gomes, Adam Jones, Ryan Roberts)

Team 5 - Kershaw, Oswalt, Pineda (C. Patterson, B. Francisco, Crisp, Boesch, Zobrist, Werth)

Go for these two. I love both of those pitchers and you may have a chance with JJ on the DL. Plus, his outfield blows.

I wouldnt touch JJ unless you want to worry about him hitting the DL every time he hits the mound. They all need OF help so it is a doable deal. I'd go after Kershaw, Pineada, Marcum, Ubaldo, or Hanson. Ubaldo is poised for a strong bounce back from his rough start and may be cheaper than the rest.

Now's a good time to trade Stubbs. His value won't be any higher at any point for the rest of the season.

Realistically I think you can get a guy like Hanson or Lester. Lester may also be a buy low candidate given his recent struggles. He's been ridiculously consistent throughout hsi career, so he'll likely level out.

Johnson and Marcum are good, but they might be overvalued based on their performance up to now (Johnson I'm also worried about injuries). I would still take Lester and Hanson over Marcum, and Johnson just scares me.

Can I do the deal for Oswalt ? Or is that not near the value that I need to get for the two together ?

If I were a Kershaw owner, I definitely listen. One person I wouldn't be targeting off that list for that package, Buchholz.

Hanson, Lester, Kershaw, Marcum, Ubaldo, Pineda, and Buchholz > Oswalt.

Trust me. I'm an Oswalt owner. He has been pretty average. I think you can do better.

I don't think JJ is overvalued. He is a stud in just about every start. I recognize that he can be an injury risk, but he is just amazing.

That's the point. Someone is going to demand a lot for him despite the fact that he's an injury risk.

Also, do you really think he's going to put up an ERA sub 2, a whip under 1, and go 7 innings per start like he's been doing? His pace wasn't sustainable, and now that injuries have kicked in, it's even more far fetched.

Close to at least. His numbers last year were spectactular, and this year so far, and the next, and the next...

This is why he will always be on my fantasy team. Pitches like a first rounder, but you can get him a little cheaper or later in a draft because he is an injury risk.

Would it be out of the question to make the offer for Ubaldo ?

So guys most agree on I should go after..

Lester, Marcum, Kershaw, Pineda, Hanson.

Definitely no go's
Oswalt and Buckholz.

Maybe's if I'm willing to take the risk
Josh Johnson. Does Ubaldo go in this group or in the definitely go after group ?

I'd take any one of them besides the other two. With that said, if there's going to be an inning limit on Pineda, I might shy away from him too... but it would be only because of that.

bump for Ricky Romero or Matt Cain. His team outfield consist of.... Huff, Carlos Lee, Damon, Morrison, Abreu, Ellsbury.

So would it be a good deal for me to offer T Hudson and Stubbs for Romero or Matt Cain ?

I'm hoping for Tommy Hanson, but can I settle for Romero or Cain in this type of package deal ?

Go for Hanson then. Stubbs has played very well and should be a worthy piece in a trade.

I couldn't get a deal done for shite with anyone.

I offered Huddy+ Stubbs for Romero, Beckett, Hanson. No bites.

Then I offered Cahill+Gio+Stubbs for Halladay (this guy had Josh Johnson and I told him about JJ probably not pitching the ROS)

All declined.
