Don't take what I said as me hoping for the worst. I work in the basin, out of belle river. (usually launch from Adams or BR, and they are swamped at the moment). It frustration that 30+ years later the best we got is the same failed plan.

They are trying to put this job together in 5 days...something like this takes weeks if not months to plan...I am very familiar with what failed and its a Bush League mistake.....this is money grab and a pub stunt.......

The contractor didnt lock the sheet piles together like he was supposed to....there will be more failures once the water get there.

But again this is not the same plan. A lot more is going into this plan other than just a barge. And as the article states there is 18"-24" difference in water elevation on each side of the barge so far. Now I know that number will decrease some as the condition worses but you can't say the water is just going around and not having any effects.
