They are wild animals. This area natuarally is supposed to flood like this yearly. They'll be ok

It's a lot harder when A) they haven't been through this in a long while B) their habitat has been significantly changed by barbed wire, dams, roads, etc.

But I'm sure most will preserve.

Kind of; their area that has been artificially formed and restricted by levees and fences in the first place.
