Correct, Lakeside and some of the other subdivisions will see some flooding but the majority of MC will be dry.....as long as the 22' seawalls do what they are supposed to

You do realize that this is more as a pub stunt to protect Terrebonne Parish?.....and once the water goes over and around the barge, it's pretty much useless.

I am in Terrebonne and see the futility in it. I really don't think it will accomplish anything as the barge won't be a water tight seal like a levee and any rushing water will quickly scour its own channel around. Sounds like a waste of money IMO.

Wrong ! The same thing was done in 73 and it worked like a charm. This year they might also drive sheets and then weld he barges to the sheets.

Berry Bros is doing the construction, my little brother will be running the job if they do it.
