Got some jalepeno and banana pepper plants. They starting to produce way more than I can keep up with!

Anybody got any tips or recipes for pickling these baby's?

Have you pickled anything before?

I pickles some jalepenos once before with some vodka. I hated it, but some of my friends liked them.

Nope... I'm new to this. I've looked up some recipes, but the instructions are a little vague on most of them.

It's been a while, so the cobwebs are thick on this one.

You need mason jars with the two piece tops. You have to boil them right before using, as ANY bacteria could ruin a whole jar. everything needs to be squeeky clean.

The great thing about pickling is you can pickle just about anything. I used cucumber spears, pickling salt, fresh dill, jalepenos and vinegar. Added vodka in another.

when I was a kid my Grandpaw used to pickle whole peppers with merliton and carrots and all of that. LOVED IT. In fact I might try that this week.

Last week I FINALLY perfected a pickling recipe for my Daikon and Carrots...though I doubt it would taste great with japs...
