I hunt Mississippi, but the majority of the LA hunters I know hunt by walking through the swamp or making drives or still hunt with climbers. The rest use cobbled together box stands on pipelines.
Also, we put corn out in MS where I hunt. I can assure you that unless you're on a ranch you'd be a lucky mofo to kill a trophy buck over feed. The corn is mostly just a way to keep the deer healthier and hanging around the property. For the most part the corn is good for getting pictures at night when they come to eat and maybe good for a few does earlier in the season.
