We're in 11th and we play the 8th, 9th, 10th, and 12th place teams. I'd say we have an advantage with the schedule.

Honestly, they better win 5 of 6 against UT and UK and find a way to win 2 of 3 at State to assure tie-breakers go their way. Avoid a sweep at Bama (winning one) and LSU goes 12-18 in the SEC. I don't think LSU goes...I say a 9th place finish is destined. Miss St. will be the last team in.

We really ought to sweep Tennessee at Alex Box, since the Vols hitting is some of the worst in the last decade of SEC baseball.
We really ought to sweep Kentucky at Alex Box just because they're Kentucky.
Now the Bulldogs are gonna be battling up in Starkville for their playoff chances, so I don't think that last series will be easy.

Georgia has quickly improved after they played us.

Also, looking at the Hogs' schedule, it's not a given that they will make it to 12 wins.

Truthfully they were never bad to start with.
It's just tough to start the season with so many road games. They started off playing on the road at Stetson, then played at Furman, then got a home series--but against FSU--, then went on the West Coast for a tournament, and THEN started SEC play on the road at SCAR, playing 9 straight games away from Athens before playing LSU at home the next weekend.
Their coach got them ready fast. They just had some growing pains with doing that. Better than playing Holy Cross & Princeton if you ask me, but they don't have as big of an issue with losing home field revenue as LSU does.

G,
That's the same thinking the 8th, 9th, and 10th teams are saying about us. And to this point in the season, looks like they have the advantage.

Miss. State also has a favorable schedule going forward once they get done with the Cocks this weekend.

I see no reason to be optimistic about where this team is headed. I hope I'm wrong.

Yeah, I don't think they are CWS caliber. I'm just hoping that they can make the playoffs and be competitive in a regional somewhere.

Im curious as to why you dont consider tennessee a bubble team yet they have more wins than LSU

If Tennessee made it to Hoover this year my head would explode. Their hitting is atrocious on a whole different level than ours. I can't believe they've managed to scrape out 5 wins as it is.

Stillholding out hope I didnt renew my tourney tickets for nothing.

That's the sad thing. If we coils make it to a regional, our starting pitching would give us a chance most places. It's getting there that is the problem.

Same here. I got 3 books of tickets that I'm hoping I'll be able to use.
