Don't remember specifically where I read it cuz it was years back but I read he use to study video tape of all his teammates misses. He watched so much tape that he knew when a certain player shot from a certain spot on the floor he knew where the rebound would go. So if Pippen was shooting from the top of the key and the majority of his misses went left off of the rim, as soon as Pippen went to shoot that shot Rodman would go to that area of the court.
