Most big game hunters actually do use bait when hunting big cats. They will usually kill a zebra, buffalo, or other prey & "bait" the cat. Not exactly true hunting but neither is paying $50,000 for a guide & native to scout out the animal for weeks & bring you to his last known location.

Some places use gators, bulldogs, elephants, piggies, & weebles to get the Tiger out of his den. Usually never ends well for the "bait"!

Depends, the Romans baited the lions with Christians & we all know how that turned out for the Christians. Just sayin.....

And for what it is worth, "TIGER BAIT" is a rally cry. I don't worry about a bunch of red elephants "rolling" by me when I'm in bama or a heard of piggies running after me when they are "called" in arky.

If this is a serious question, which I doubt, I will try to give a serious answer.

First off, Tiger hunting is thankfully illegal all over the world. To my knowledge, there is no place in the world where they can be legally hunted. But when they were, mainly in India, the normal bait was a goat tied to a stake, with the hunter sitting in an elevated platform supposedly out of reach and danger from the tiger. Most times didnt end well for the tiger, but several times didnt end well for the hunter either. In the early 1900´s there were several tigers that killed 300-400 people in India and had to be hunted and killed. If you are interested in reading about some of the most famous, google Jim Corbett and look at some of the books he wrote about his experiences hunting tigers and leopards in India.

Another interesting fact is that the Romans regularly pitted tigers against lions in the Collessium. Tigers almost always won, particularly the big Bengal Tigers.

One more interesting fact is that lions 75% of the time will fake charge then stop as a warning.

Tigers never fake charge. If they ever charge, they mean business and you better be ready cause they are coming all the way.

End of the history lesson for today.

yea, sounds like deer hunting to me. they are baited with corn all year long and then people brag about shooting one with a high powered rifle using a scope that could locate the craters on the moon. and most deer hunters spend a hell of a lot more than $50,000 to practice their "skills".
they keep about 50 retailers in business nationwide.

The deer comments make me think of Ron White's joke about his brother in law being a big hunter and bragging about hitting one with a high powered rifle at supersonic speed in the freezing early morning cold.
Ron reply's is he got one with an '82 dodge van going 50 mph and even when he swerved to miss it it jumped into his path. " That's what I call some f--kin' elusive prey !"

You have a dim view of hunting, bring that shite over to the OB and see what kind of responses you get.
