I have not seen the kid play in high school, but did see him play in middle school a bunch. He was very short for his age at the time, and did not hit a growth spurt until late. Even in the 8th grade he could light it up from the outside like few I have seen.
He didn't play much for the freshman team at CHS, so he transferred to U High and is a stud there.
I would think that judging white guards (that arent true point guards) in high school has to be very tough. How can you really tell the difference between a Gerry Mcnamara, Teddy Dupay, Lee Humphrey, Bobby Frasor that play at a Syracuse, Florida, UNC, etc... from a Luke Zumo, Chase Stanley, Charlie Thompson, etc...that end up at a Loyola or Centenary type school. They can all light it up from the outside.
I know guys like Hinrich, Reddick, Brent Nelson were all in the 6'4 range, but the other big time white shooting guards I mentioned were in the 5'10 to 6'2 range.
