I only use guides for offshore but I'll ask around for you. Also, try searching "cocodrie", I think there was a thread not long ago about charters there. Glassman recommended one in Buras not long ago but I can't find that post.

If Cocodrie, my boss used to take us with Coco Marina's outfit. They had a pretty cool trip, especially for rookies. We'd start out with specks at the platforms/islands, then on the way in, they would put us on some bull reds with cracked crab and heavier tackle, then we'd go inside and finish the day with puppy drum. They got it figured out pretty well.
I never cared much for it, because I'd rather just hit some specks and slot reds, but again, for rookies, it's a good trip. They have nice accomodations, too. It would also be a good trip for kids, considering we never had to wait long for fish.
eta---this is a summer trip.

Any guides in particular that stand out? Like I said we would be mainly after numbers.
