Pardon the intrusion, but some history of the Stanford experience and a couple of points.

Montgomery's last two recruiting classes consisted of Peter Prowitt, Taj Finger, Fred Washington and Tim Morris. Prowitt hardly played, Tim Morris transferred to Univesity of Washington, where he was a role player. Among the many reasons Montgomery decided to pack-it-in, including some tough admissions decisions. Even Ross Neltner, who should have been admitted did't make the cut, which was a travesty

Not to say there weren't some good players, because there were, and there were 80 wins and 3 NCAA and 1 NIT appearance, through some difficult circumstances. This followed an incredible rebuild at Nevada, from the basement to the NCAA Sweet 16 (got hosed in the last minute on a call, should have been at least to the Elite 8 to play against a Kansas team that Nevada defeated earlier in the year).

Next, you know more about the LSU success in year 1, voted coach of the year for the third time in 6 years in three different conferences.

But, some problems on your end it looks like, including a number of players being exited stage door right for a number of reasons, and some other "clean up" work.

So, there are you are-with three freshman manning the 1, 2 and 3 spots, with some great promise, but young-very good players coming in next year, with one sitting out this year who will help. But, patience will be necessary. The Tigers may not win alot the rest of this year, and may also drop a couple next year that should look winnable on paper, the trajectory is upward.

P. S. Read the "blog" report-never heard of him, and I'm guessing no one else at Stanford has either.

Trent did very good things at Nevada but let's stop sugarcoating his time at Stanford. He had one very good team with the Lopez twins, he had two 1st round exits where they got the shite kicked out of them in the tourney, and he had an NIT team. Considering where that program was before him his tenure there was lackluster and it wasn't because Montgomery left the cupboard bare.
