Just picked up this LINK tv for $600! Excited as hell to actually use it but have to wait until tomorrow. I have always played on a 60hz before. Big difference?

all my family lives in Jersey so with that AU logo pretty doubtful

maybe one of our parents slutted it up though

I like my TV, but some people think 240 looks "fake" because of the smoothing or whatever.
Pixar movies without the cartoons, if that makes any sense at all.

Was going off the avatar's. Separated at birth?

I know what you mean about the fake look. Do video games have the same "problem"? I watched 300 on a 120hz before. It was a bit odd.

Gaming wise, not much. Most games won't go past 60 anyway

^ doesn't know what they are talking about. NOTHING out right now goes past 60hz. Why a 120hz tv makes it better is because it converts 60hz into 120hz.

physics engines can't handle anything above 60, so it may seem a little smoother, but it technically isn't.

i think Rage (coming out sometime this year) is supposed to be equipped with the new physics engine that allows up to 120 rendering.
