Simple answer... frick no.
Dude is clutch. Makes plays when they are needed. He made at least 10 plays against the Jets that either converted a long third down (either running or passing), scored a td or clinched the game.
No, no, no...

Ben is more than just clutch or a winner or whatever.
Statistically, he's top-5. I repeat, top-5 in passer rating in 3 of the past 4 years.

Ok sorry for the bump. I started this thread then had a class and then proceeded to completely forget about this thread.
It looks lke it took off pretty good without me.
Looks like I was off on his offensive line. If they arent one of the best, no big deal. I was wrong on that. I guess he just "ectends the play" by being sacked more than anybody else in the league each year.
I got to page two and had to respond to this because this is what kills me with Ben defenders...
The Steelers were up what 24-3 at halftime vs the Jets? All Ben did in the second half was to try his hardest to blow the game for the Steelers. He did nothing good in the second half. If you want to give him a ton of credit for the late 3rd down completion, then go ahead. But that is a standard roll out. If you cant make that play, then you shouldnt be in the NFL. I thought Tomlin/or the OC deserved more credit for that than anybody.
I also cant stop looking at his stats.
2010
Comp. Pct - 15th

2009
5th in both areas
2008

2006
Comp. Pct - 19th

Those are really his favorable catagories. What about that screams one of the greatest ever? Or that he deserves to be in the same sentence as Brady, Manning or Brees? Sure he has two rings, which is nice, but give me Manning and Brees' one less ring and the stats to go with it.
