Referbished Lawn Mowers

Bought a referbished Toro from Home Depot yesterday. New it was $399, referbished was $270. This one is 22", personal pace, and electric start. Figured it was worth a shot.
Got it home yesterday and took it apart to see what was wrong. Started fine and runs great. Went a head and cut the front yard even though it didnt need it. The self propel was slow so I adjusted it now I can run with it if I wanted to.
Anyone ever have any experiences with referbed mowers? I have 30 days to bring it back.

we have one very similar and have had it for 3 or 4 years now. All i have ever had to do to it was put gas in it every other mowing and change the oil. It has been a great push mower... knock on wood... it pull starts every time on the 1st or 2nd tug though we do not need it as our electric start still works and we have not charged the battery in over a year... We are very pleased. I need to adjust the self-propelled rate myself...

Just take the slack out of it at the top. Took 30 seconds.

Charger didn't come with it. Going to order one if I keep the mower. Glad to hear you say that though.
Also didn't come with a bag. Might check the local lawnmower grave yards.
Did you ever notice any clippings coming up in the air around the front right tire???
Also the fuse box was caked with wet grass. Do you have this issue? Debating sealing it up with some duct tape.

Mine has lasted 9 years. Just like that. you'll have to replace the belt & pulleys after about 5 yrs.
