Maybe now we can hang 60+ points on McNeese and other cupcakes

As pathetic as it was to see us on offense against good teams, it was even more frustrating watching our offense crawling and sputtering against the likes of McNeese and other assorted cupcakes.

And being 'vanilla' was never a legitimate excuse. Not with our talent.

Just score 30+ ppg in SEC play and I'll be ecstatic.

I know. But my point is the problem with the offense was systemic and not because we were 'holding back'. I sure hope we can get back to the Jimbo Fisher era. Never thought I would admit to that.

Why does it matter that we score 60??? Or blow them out. As long as we WIN those games is whats important. Beating Mcneese 31-13 is fine with me. You are a STYLE pints kinda guy.

Give me the Morris Watts era!

I know people miss Jimbo running up the score against the Miss. States and ULLs of the CFB world, but I want a guy who knows how to score against the very best defenses in the land.

By that measure, Jimbo was an epic failure as an OC. His ability to generate offensive production against teams like Auburn, Georgia, Florida, & Alabama (when their defenses were at their best) was legendarily lackluster.

When LSU goes to play an Alabama or an Auburn or a Florida, I want to feel secure and confident that my Tigers will put up at least 24 points on the scoreboard in regulation time.

But this was just a sick joke being played on the fanbase. I'm 100% with you here. I'm sick of week after week having LSU fans say to each other in conversation, "Surely that couldn't POSSIBLY have been the real offense, right!?!"

Is that what it takes to make you feel good about yourself? Is your self image tied to how badly LSU beats an opponent? Beating up on a weaker opponent somehow elevates you? Watching LSU run up the score makes up for your empty life?

Let me guess.................... you love to destroy your kid in checkers.

Agree. Oh and by no means do I want Jimbo back. Point was his offense was still better than what Crowton churned out the last couple of yrs.

I think LSU will do very well for itself on offense next year. I think we are in a good position.

Agreed. When you schedule cupcakes, you expect the offense to look somewhat like a well oiled machine and have consistant good looking drives.

I am not asking for 60 points, but a smooth looking offense against much weaker teams is not too much to ask.

Dear Dr. Freud,
It worries me that these pip-squeaks could at times man handle us. It's like you know your wife is cheating on you and you just wait for the bad news. Very disconcerting and cause for self-examination, in a football sense... and nobody would and preferred for it to just go away. Some of that was accomplish with GC changing his zip code.

So you are transferring success of the LSU football program to your own life? If LSU runs up a score it means that you are studly? If not you are............well...............less than that?

DISAGREE!!! YOU don't know how much MILES had his hand in the offense. It will depend on WHAT OC he chooses as to how much we improve on offense. IF[AND A BIG IF] He lets the OC do his job, it could improve, But if he gets an OC that HE CONTROLS. You will be seeing the same thing we have seen for the last few years. IMO.

This is a good question. Why is he still here? (Until 2017!!) If Miles did have his hand in slowing down the offense, then that deserves some attention.

How many heads are in the sand about this?

Me troubled? I'm not the one that wants to beat up on somebody a lot weaker. I'm not the one wanting to embarrass another team, to rub their noses in it so to speak. I'm not the one that gets all bent out of shape when LSU doesn't run up a score for no reason. I'm not the one demanding that LSU pound another team into the turf.
Hell, man I love a victory. No matter how close. Just win baby.

Tsk tsk. If you don't get help here, make sure you get it on another board.
