I was at a Saints party last night and my friend got a text from a big name associated with LSU saying that Bo Pellini was in B.R. yesterday. This thread might get whacked but I'm just reporting what I heard. If this has been discussed, ignore it. If you would have told me 20 years ago that a Nebraska coach was interested in coaching LSU, I would have called you a lunatic.

Nebraska uses a body double. Only school in the country that does this.

He is on a VERY short Leash in Lincoln. Dude almost lost his job because of the way he behaves. His team lost to TAMU and was drummed in their bowl game.
Go look at the LSU D the last 4 games of 2007. IT WAS NOT DOMINANT! Some say b/c Dorsey was hurt. I say b/c they got wore down from all those min and not subbing like they needed. He is a good DC, not great.
I would not want my kid playing for someone who behaves like he does on national TV. He may be a good DC, but NOT a head coach. There are rumors in Lincoln now to fire his arse.
So, yes he is trash considering all of those factors.

This true, but the "double" is about 3" taller than Bo!!

He is a good match, but height gives it away!!

I'll always be indebted to Bo for stayin' to coach the '07 National Title game. He could've high tailed it to Nebraska, but he didn't.

What coach who has coached a team all year would not want to stay and finish business with a chance to win a natl champ in a title game?

Bo was a good DC but as far as HC at Neb. no way is he in a class with Les.His actions on national TV are uncalled for. He was a disappointment to both himself and Neb.I would say his position at Neb.is on thin ground.

I would not hate a Pelini hire, but I don't want it to happen. A lot of names I would much rather first.
