I can say that sources very close to Stevan are now saying that he is leaning towards going pro. Before the appeal, it seemed he would come back if he was reinstated and he was obviously gone if it was unsuccessful. However, I guess contemplating the league while he sat out seriously peaked his interest, and that interest has not subsided. I wish the best of luck to Stevan and his family. Although I personally think he would be well served by coming back next year, this year is a weak crop of RBs and Stevan may find himself somewhere in the 4th round or later. I thoroughly enjoyed his efforts the last few years and he was a pleasure to watch this year. He has been a great representative of this team and I am sure he will continue to be an ambassador for the LSU program for years to come.

He should go. Really weak RB class this year.

No way. Love the guy, but he's not fast enough for the NFL. Hell, last night he kept trying to bounce outside and was always tackled from behind.

Hmmm.. Never thought of that. I figured the Hill re-commitment had to do with LM staying at LSU. I may get ripped for this, but the way Ware looked last night, and with Ford and the guys coming in, we may be better off without Ridley.

Why?

He has the size, strength, elusiveness, vision, and cutting ability. The only thing he lacks is top end speed, which is by far the most overrated RB attribute.

It's a weak RB class and with a good 40, he could sneak into the 2nd-3rd round and he will make a roster based on his special teams ability alone.

After he way Ware played last night, that probably wouldn't be too bad of an idea.

Except when he scored his TD.

But I agree that he does not seem to have the measurables for the NFL. However, Brandon Taylor is not the quickest guy in the league and he would be fine if he wasn't a head case. Taylor is similar to Ridley. I am sure a team will take a chance on him. CBS has him ranked as the 21st best RB available in the 2012 draft.

LOL. If Ridley does come back, I guarantee he will be the best RB on the team next year. He had a great year this year without a passing game to take the load off. Ware is good, but he is not ready to replace Ridley.

He should go. A running back, especially a power back, only has a few years in him.

come on .. no back in the NFL makes an exclusive, long term living running between the tackles .. you HAVE to have a bounce outside game too .. he gets run down by D1 interior linemen outside .. also .. his 10 to 15 yard inside pops never happen in the NFL .. too much strength and speed inside upgrade at that level .. come on .. if Charles Scott couldn't make it .......

He is an NFL talent...people need to open their eyes..

I project late 2nd or 3rd round..just a guess

ridley is awesome, no doubt. but my friend- if you didnt see that ware has something "extra", above and beyond all of the "solid" attributes that ridley has..... you either have no eye for talent or are a moron-

did u watch him last night?

like someone said, he had several runs where he couldnt get past the line of scrimmage, while Spencer Ware had no problem. He was dancing, and ran down from behind at least 4 times

His last run was nice, but it was when A&M was all but dead. BEfore that run he was at 3.6 YPC while Ware was around 9 or 10 YPC.

2nd rd pick , no fricking shot.
