Houston fell apart after those two last second clusterfrick loses...What is a new coach going to do at this point?

Sometimes the problems are deeper than the HC

frank bush- was never a DC until kubiak put him in charge. kubiak connection: Denver Broncos 1995-2003. rick smith- never a GM until kubiak picked him (yes, the head coach picked his GM), kubiak connection: He previously was with the Denver Broncos organization as a coach then in the front office. and finally, rick dennison didnt have a job until kubiak tabbed him to be the OC. he actually had some OC experience, and of course it was on the denver staff with shannahan. Pro coach: Denver Broncos 1995-2009
to answer your question: change the mentality. i liken it to tony dungy's days in tampa bay(albeit a much lower bar since they couldnt get to the superbowl, and the texans cant make the playoffs). they brought in a new guy, a new voice, with all the same players and boom! they win the superbowl the first year. im not expecting a superbowl by any means, but to act as though none of this disaster season has been kubiak's fault is naive at best
quote:you act as if hes bill belichick getting a raw deal. what has gary kubiak done to warrant keeping his job? its a bottom line business and hes 5-10 with 1 to play and a 36-43 coach who doesnt hire particularly good assistants. he shouldve been fired last year...

I think the right DC gets Kubiak to his highest level. 9-7 and missing the playoffs.

When Cowher says your team (Houston) is one of the teams on his list to coach for, why in the world would you go ahead and say you're sticking with Kubiak?
