talk about pretentious. I love the Coens, but not everybody on the planet has to fawn over every single move they make. They aren't above criticism. And have you even seen this movie yet? Perhaps some is warranted.

Are you implying what I said was pretentious? Wow. Really? Jump to conclusions much?

Nothing about my statements was pretentious. I don't fawn over every movie they make and, as I said, I can understand if people don't get them and don't like their movies. FWIW, I don't "get" Seth Rogen and don't particularly like his movies, but I also don't try to denigrate his entire body of work like Rex Reed did with the Coens.

And no, I haven't seen the movie. And no, I didn't say it was above criticism, as you implied. I've seen some good criticism in this thread alone.

I plan to see this movie soon, but I don't need to see it to know that this is a jackass statement:

Pretty much that entire "review" was over the top and worthless. No critical analysis whatsoever.
